Record Store Day 2017: Early start as Shropshire music fans join vinyl queue
It was an early start for vinyl fans hoping to snag Record Store Day bargains in Shropshire today - with the first person arriving at Shrewsbury's Left For Dead store on Wyle Cop arriving at 2.40pm.
The Shropshire Star's own Nathan Rowden, who had more of a lie-in and joined the queue shortly after 5.30pm, tweeted:
When the doors finally opened Left For Dead posted a photo of the first people through the door on Instagram:

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Record Store Day, which was launched in the USA in 2007 when more than 700 independent stores came together. The first UK Record Store Day was held the following year.
The UK event sees more than 200 independent record shops celebrate their culture by selling special vinyl releases and hosting artist performances across the country.
Special releases today include two limited-edition David Bowie albums, an Elton John live album and several Prince singles, almost a year to the day after the US star's death.
Since its launch, the event has helped to spearhead vinyl's revival, with sales reaching 3.4 million units in 2016.
