A park and ride scheme has been announced ahead of the Lets Rock Shrewsbury concert later this month

The Lets Rock Shrewsbury event in the Quarry will see a host of 80s music stars appear on stage on May 27.

Thousands of tickets have already been sold and organisers have now announced plans for a park and ride arrangement.

The park and ride service will operate as normal during the day from Meole Brace, with a special pick up added from Barker Street from 10pm.

Organisers say this stop will run until all customers have returned to the car park and four buses will run on a shuttle basis.

The cost will be a standard £1.60 fare.

The event will feature bands popular in the 1980s including T'Pau, Nik Kershaw, Billy Ocean, Heaven 17, Tony Hadley, Nick Heyward, The Real Thing, Altered Images, Brother Beyond and Jaki Graham.

Gates open at 10am with music from midday and ends at 10.30pm.
