Shifnal spa competes in new television show
A Shifnal spa owner is competing in a new TV series.
Deborah Mitchell opened a Heaven spa in Shifnal and will be appearing on ITVBe on its how called Spa Wars on July 19.
The show is a brand new competitive beauty series that pitches three rival salons owners against each other to find out whose treatments offer the best value for money.
Each episode sees three local beauticians take it in turns to visit each other’s salons, where they are plumped, preened and pampered before deciding how much they are willing to pay for their treatments.
At the end of all three visits, the salon that has been paid the highest percentage of their total bill is crowned that week’s Spa Wars Winner.
This week’s show will be kicking off at the Mary Wilson Beauty and Electrolysis Salon in Coventry run by 67-year old Mary Wilson. A veteran of nearly 50 years in the beauty industry, Mary’s first rival is multi-million pound beauty empire owner Deborah Mitchell, who counts celebrities and royalty amongst her clients.
The third spa owner this week is 25-year-old high tech beauty entrepreneur Farzila Allarakha, known as Fizz.
Day two sees everyone gather at young entrepreneur Fizz’s beauty salon, where a clinical approach to beauty does not appeal to old-school Mary, who struggles to understand the science behind her ‘hand facial’ treatment.
Last to host is beauty queen Deborah, whose bee sting treatments that she invented have been wildly successful worldwide.
While Fizz is super-inspired by Deborah’s high quality pedicure, Mary can only complain that the signature bee venom facial ‘stings’ her eyes.
At the end of a week, all the beauticians have left strong impressions on each other - but only one can be crowned Spa Wars champion and claim the trophy.
