Bridgnorth Horticultural Society show is blooming marvellous
Colourful home-grown produce and homemade treats were the order of the day at an annual show.
And that meant plenty of work for the judges – serious business when pride is at stake.
The Bridgnorth Horticultural Society's summer show has been running for more than two decades and still attracted a wide range of entries and visitors to this year's event.
Although hit by Saturday's wet weather, there was still a host of items on display.
Chairman and secretary of the society, Glyn Lucas, said the event at St Leonard's Church went "very well".
He added: "We were very pleased, it was a good show.
"There were all sorts of vegetables, cut flowers, potted plants, baking, jams, flower arrangements, wine making.
"There are cups and trophies in every category."
The event is one of two annual club shows held each year, the other is the spring show, which takes place in April.
The club meets at Bridgnorth Library on the first Tuesday of every month where they hear talks from a wide range of speakers on topics to do with gardening.
