Welsh actor Keith Allen (and father of Lily Allen) coming to Birmingham Comic Con
Welsh actor, comedian, musician - and father of singer Lily Allen - Keith Allen is coming to Birmingham's Comic Con.
The event, set to take place at the NEC, will also feature Veronica Taylor, known for voicing the part of Ash Ketchum in Pokémon.
Keith is best known for his roles in films Trainspotting, The Others, Eddie The Eagle and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. He has also starred in TV shows such as The Young Ones, The Young Person's Guide To Becoming A Rock Star, Adrian Mole: The Cappucino Years and Roger Roger.
See Keith in Blur's Country house here (playing the role of the businessman):
Keith was a member of London punk band Atoms in the late 70s and later Fat Les, a band which also featured artist Damien Hurst and Blur bassist Alex James.
He is closely associated with the band New Order, having directing the video for their 1993 song Ruined In A Day, which depicts Allen and the band members immersed in a bizarre game of charades with a group of Buddhist monks. He also co-wrote the band's only UK number one single, World in Motion, and occasionally performs with them live, including their headline show at the Reading Festival in 1998. He also appeared in the band's DVD New Order Story, where he played host to a fictional New Order game show.
Keith also appeared as the businessman in the music video to Blur's 1995 hit Country House and has been involved in several other football-related records, including England's Irie by Black Grape and wrote the lyrics for Vindaloo by Fat Les.
Keith will be at Comic Con on both the Saturday and Sunday of the two-day event, running from November 18 to 19.
Autographs with the star will cost £20, and photo sessions cost £24.
