The popular troupe brought its indoor spectacular The Greatest Snowman to The Place theatre, in Oakengates, for two shows earlier this week.

Ringmaster Joel Hatton and Bippo the clown led the winter themed extravaganza which also featured appearances by Chelsea Buckley, aka Hula Hoop, jugglers, a tight wire artist and plate spinning.

During the performance Bippo urged the audience to help him find the snowman as he encounters cool characters along the way including Jack Frost and Olaf.

Telford businessman Shane Hallard, of Flawless Design Driveways, sponsored £500 towards the cost of bringing the touring show to the borough.

"We went to both shows. All the children's faces were full of smiles at the antics on stage. It was amazing.

"Their smiles made mu night. It was money well spent.

"We have down a lot of work in Telford for the Shared Lives scheme which helps families in need of support and when Circus Starr contacted us offering a package, we jumped at the chance to help disadvantaged children to see the show," Mr Hallard said.

The Greatest Snowman is on tour until January 25.

Circus Starr is a not for profit company which goes on tour three times a year with a traditional big top show in the spring and autumn months, but every January it creates a production for indoor venues.
