Run to the Severn Scooter Jam was held in Bridgnorth for the first time last year and it was a "roaring success" so now organisers are hoping it will become an annual event.

All proceeds will go to Bridgnorth Rugby Club.

Organiser Ian George said: "This is our second year, but we're hoping it'll turn into an annual event.

"It's something nice, we only put it together very quickly last year and it worked really well so we thought we'd give it another go.

"We had about 150 scooters, so for something put on quite short notice it was quite good, last year we clashed with another rally but hopefully we should be alright this year.

"We've got three live bands and we've got five DJs in between the bands, the music will be going from 12pm to 9pm and back into the rugby clubhouse in Bridge Street.

"It's a family event, we've got market stalls, bouncy castles, ice creams, a bar will be open and a cafe. There's lots going on.

"People can camp too, people can stay all weekend.

"Any proceeds will go towards Bridgnorth Rugby Club, we've done seven charity events this year so we need to do one for ourselves really.

"It's a roaring success last year so I'm hoping it'll be the same this year."

Run to the Severn Scooter Jam will be at the Edgar Davies Ground, Bandon Lane, Bridgnorth, on July 15 from 11am.
