Shropshire all set for Easter sunshine break
The sun has got its hat on ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
And as people enjoy their four-day break, beauty spots around Shropshire and Mid Wales are bound to be a big draw for the Easter bank holiday crowds.
Highs of 21 and 22 degrees are scheduled for the holiday weekend – guaranteeing the region’s beauty spots will be popular destinations.
In Mid Wales weather forecasters have said parts of the region will be hotter than European holiday destinations.
According to the Met Office, Powys will see temperatures of up to 20C(68F) on Friday and Saturday, and could hit a pleasant 18C(64F) on Easter Sunday, before they are set to dip on Monday.
A Met Office forecaster said: “Easter weekend is likely to start off warm or very warm for most areas, with a good deal of dry sunny weather. As we head towards the end of the weekend there is increasing uncertainty, so please keep up to date with the latest forecast if you are making plans.”
The forecaster added: “It does look as if it will turn more changeable and cooler from the north-west from Sunday.”
