Roses and stunning views to be offered as gardens unveiled
Roses, herbaceous borders and stunning views are set to be showcased this weekend.
Gardens bursting with colour will be unveiled as part of the National Open Garden Scheme.
And a garden in Stourport which first opened in 2016 will be featured.
The Oakhampton Road green space features a tropical feature - including palms from across the world, tree ferns, bananas and other plants from warmer climates.
A pond completes the garden, which attracts a range of birds and hedgehogs.
One garden will be unveiled in Staffordshire this weekend.
The Wickets, in Wheaton Aston, will showcase its themed areas - including a fernery, hidden gothic garden, cottage garden beds and stunning views.
Visitors will be able to take in tea and cake at the space near to the Shropshire Union Canal walk and the Hartley Arms pub.
Elsewhere, a garden developed over 15 years will be revealed in Hereford - featuring views of roses, water fountains and vegetable gardens.
Sculptures cover the green space, named The Garden of the Wind at Middle Hunt House, which covers around four acres.
And visitors will be able to take in the garden with a range of seats and feast their eyes on art on loan from the Lettering and Commemorative Arts Trust.
The site is at 200 metres above sea level and is exposed to westerly winds – hence the name of the garden.
Bridge Nursery in Southam featuring a range of unusual plants will be on show.
Grass paths will lead visitors around the scenic garden, which features a pond and bamboo grove.
Most of the plants featured in the garden will be able to be purchased in the nursery.
And in Shropshire, a garden at the heart of a manor will be unveiled for visitors.
The green space at Sambrook Manor in Newport will showcase a range of herbaceous garden - with a range of roses for people to feast their eyes upon.
Stunning views will greet visitors, along with trees, a waterfall and a Japanese garden.
