Visitor centre expands re-opening
A county visitor attraction has confirmed the next stage of its re-opening
Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms has been open with a limited offer since April 12.
It has meant people can dine outside and browse the gift shop, but the Shropshire Hills Through Time exhibition has remained closed.
It has now partly re-opened so that visitors can meet the Shropshire mammoth and watch the exhibition film.
Parts of the exhibition will remain closed, such as the interactive pods, so the entrance fee will be discounted.
Visitors will be able to sit inside to enjoy the café’s offer once again, but in groups of six only.
As well as reopening inside the centre, family activities will be going ahead in June for the school half term.
Education manager Stephanie Bellows said: “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors back inside to enjoy our café and exhibition as well as having families back for our popular activities. We would like to assure everyone that we are following all guidelines very carefully and all our staff are aware of the new regulations that need to be followed. We are just really happy to be opening properly again.”
