Bridgnorth artist to produce posters for Jaguar exhibition
A Shropshire artist is creating limited edition watercolour posters to commemorate a vehicle considered a work of art in itself.
Asked by her husband, Tim Griffin, workshop director at Classic Motor Cars in Bridgnorth, Louise will paint 250 posters of the renown Jaguar Mk2.
Working as a full time artist and art tutor, exhibiting at the Mall Galleries in London, Louise worked for Stafford College teaching watercolour and drawing for 17 years before leaving in 2015.
She now runs her business teaching painting and drawing while undertaking commissions from business and private customers.
Once each signed poster has been sold, all proceeds from the sales will be donated to Hope House Children's Hospices.
Operating in Oswestry and Conwy, the charity provide care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families from Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.
Louise said: "I was asked by my husband to produce a piece of artwork to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the famous Jaguar saloon and I have produced a poster which features two examples of the famous car.
"The original artwork is a watercolour and is it being produced to a high standard so that Jaguar enthusiasts and anyone who wishes to celebrate the famous birthday can keep it as a memento."
Louise's husband Tim Griffin, workshop director at CMC, added: "Louise produced a fantastic poster for our 25th anniversary so it seemed fitting that she should produce another one for the Mk2."
