Ducks galore as Bridgnorth river race raises £3,000 - with video and pictures
With more than £3,000 raised from Bridgnorth's Easter Bank Holiday duck race, organisers are already making plans to develop the event for next year.
Thousands of people descended upon the River Severn to watch 1,000 plastic ducks race down the river, which could be joined by a second quacking event in 2020.
Bridgnorth Lions, who organised the event, sold out of its ducks for the race and have said that an event where people can race their own ducks of any shape and size is being considered.

Richard Stilwell, president of Bridgnorth Lions, said: "Next year we're considering having another race where you can bring your own duck of any shape and size and race it down the river.
"We've got some exciting proposals to raise money and we're really excited to get planning and develop on this exciting event we now have at our disposal."
Money raised from this year's event is going to the Lions' charities as well as West Mercia Search & Rescue, which helped run the event on Monday.
