Shropshire venues line up top comic Lenny Henry
Comedy superstar Lenny Henry will perform in Shropshire later this year, theatre bosses have said.

Lenny Henry will star at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place on November 22 in a new show called Lenny Henry: Pop Life! Tickets went on sale today priced £24.50.
He will also perform at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury this autumn and tickets go on sale on August 17. No performance date has yet been announced.
Lenny Henry is the latest in a string of big name comics who are planning gigs in the county in coming months. Other star acts set to perform in Telford, Shrewsbury and Ludlow include Ross Noble, Greg Davies, Julian Clary, Tim Vine and Marcus Brigstocke.
Today Debbie King, manager of Oakengates Theatre @ The Place, said she was delighted that Lenny would be playing the venue.
She said the show would feature Lenny taking the audience on an hilarious journey through his life in music.
Ms King added that Lenny's Pop Life show had been described as being a joyous, funny, freaky performance about how music goes better with everything.
