Anne Boleyn movie filming goes a-head at Shropshire castle - with pictures
She changed the face of Britain as Queen of England before she literally lost her head in a shocking fall from grace.
Now Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's second wife, is the subject of a mini-movie being produced by Ludlow based film company Wild Edric Media along with Here to There Productions Theatre Company.
Carl Walker of Wild Edric said: "This is a trailer for a stage play, but it's basically a mini-movie in its own right.
"English Heritage kindly let us use Stokesay Castle, which we used because of the period."
He said costumes used were hired from the Royal Shakespeare Company and were last seen in the BBC series Wolf Hall.
The film will act as a promotional feature for a forthcoming stage production of Howard Brenton's play Anne Boleyn, which Here to There Productions will be putting on at Hereford Coutryard in the last week of August and beginning of September.
Carl said: "The play is about her relationship with Henry VIII but also Thomas Cromwell as well and deals with her fall from being Queen of England.
"But it's told from the perspective of James I who finds Anne's dress in a chest and starts to believe that he's seeing her ghost.
"Anne, along with Henry, changed the face of England because she introduced a new religion with the Church of England.
"It's also a funny play, however, there's a lot of humour in it – it's not dull history at all."
Tickets for the play are available at the Hereford Courtyard box office on 01432 340555.
