Workers are out in force this week, making sure the planes at the RAF Cosford Museum are looking their best.

Using specialist equipment, they're going to great lengths – and heights –to keep the attractions in sparkling condition.

This gentlemen is seen using a small crane to get himself to the right height to clean the tail of the Lockheed SP-2H Neptune.

Museum marketing manager, Karen Crick, said the teams have to use specialist equipment in order to get around the aircraft.

They will be cleaning about six of the aircraft, which are kept outside.

She said: "It is the annual clean of all the aircraft which are kept outside.

"Each one will take several days to do, and it will depend on things like the weather.

"This one is the first one they have started, which is the Neptune."
