Gardens open to visitors for charity
Gardens are opening their gates to visitors for charity this weekend.
Visitors can explore the gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme which raises money for cancer and caring charities.
Sambrook Manor in Newport will be opening on Sunday from 12.30pm to 5pm.
The garden surrounds the early 18th century manor house and contains a wide selection of herbaceous plants and roses.
Features include a waterfall down to a pond. A new development leading to the river along the edge of the garden is filled with a variety of shrubs and trees.
Windy Ridge in Telford will also be open to the public on Sunday.
This is a multi-award-winning village garden.
The strong design and exuberant colour-themed planting of more than 1,000 species, offer a picture around every corner.
The grass and perennial gravel garden has created a lot of interest and versions are now appearing in gardens all over the country.
