Market Drayton is one of more than 100 High Streets around the UK to put on special £5 offers from October 10-24.

It is part of the Totally Locally Fiver Fest initiative, a free campaign which has seen the number of towns taking part rise from 43 last year.

Dan Thomas, director of the newly-formed Market Drayton Traders Community Interest Company, which is coordinating the effort there, said: "Fiver Fest is now a big part of our promotions for Market Drayton. The independent shops and businesses are what makes our town special and unique.

"We appreciate it when our community support us, so these offers are to say thank you for that support, and to show just what great value our local businesses are.”

The offers available in Market Drayton will include three succulents or a bunch of tulips for a fiver in Flores Diem; 700g of pick 'n' mix sweets or three bars of nature-friendly soap at the Refill Emporium, or a breakfast pack including sausage and bacon, or soup and a sandwich, from Fordhall Farm just outside town.

There will also be other offers from Sherwood Wholefoods, The Town House, Fields Kitchen and more yet to confirm. If you want to take part, email mdtraderscic@gmail.com.
