Stellar line-up for Llangollen Eisteddfod
The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod has a star-studded concert line-up for 2018.
This year’s event will feature performances from best-selling singer Alfie Boe, prolific recording artist Van Morrison, renowned baroque instrumental group Red Priest, and award winning Welsh folk band Calan, not to mention the Kaiser Chiefs bringing the curtain down on the event-headlining Llanfest.
The 2018 concert series will open on July 3, with one of Britain’s biggest selling, most popular and best loved vocalists of a generation, Alfie Boe.
Recording artist and West End and Broadway sensation Boe will be joined by his ensemble of musicians, showcasing his best loved songs.
The Classical Collection on July 4 sees the final of the International Voice of the Future along with a two pianos collaboration by the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod’s Music Director Vicky Yannoula, and acclaimed pianist Peter Jablonski with musical fireworks promised.

International competitors from across the globe will unite on July 5 with the procession of nations and the 2018 Peace Message. Special guests for the evening will be award-winning band Calan, setting feet tapping with their interpretation of Welsh folk music.
An Evening with Van Morrison takes to the stage on July 6 with the unparalleled vocal and songwriting talent performing music from his musical catalogue.
The festival’s competitions will reach their exciting climax on July 7, with the winners of the international choral competition competing for the titles of Choir of the World 2018 and the prestigious Pavarotti Trophy as well as dancers taking part in the Dance Champions of the World 2018 finals.
Red Priest, will also contribute to the excitement of the evening as the International Eisteddfod’s special guests.
Llanfest signs off the Eisteddfod with headliners, Kaiser Chiefs, The Hoosiers and Toploader.
Throughout the week there will also be live performances from emerging bands, musicians and street performers from across the globe.
