Professor Green raps for students at Harper Adams University summer ball
Chart-topping rapper Professor Green made his return to the stage at Harper Adams University's summer ball.
At the university on Saturday night the Read All About It star played his first gig since being injured in a road accident earlier this year.
He was joined at the ball by The Hoosiers and Radio 1 DJ Greg James.
But the show's success was tainted after residents complained about the noise. The university blamed the disruption on strong winds blowing the sound from the concert further than expected.
Dr David Llewellyn, vice-chancellor at the university, said: "We appreciate that the summer ball this year did cause some noise disruption to the local community and we want to offer our apologies to those who were affected.
"Our students liaise closely with relevant authorities to try to minimise disturbance to residents in the area around the campus. Regrettably, some of the mitigation measures were unsuccessful, with strong winds and inclement weather resulting in noise travelling further than had been anticipated.
"We will be investigating this further and once again offer our apologies."
Professor Green tweeted after the gig: "Much love to the nice people at Harpers."
Dr Llewellyn said: "To have headline acts such as Professor Green, The Hoosiers and Greg James, as well as local bands, on the same bill was testament to the students who organised the event and to the fact that Harper Adams is able to attract big name performers to Shropshire."
