They released their 15th studio record this year, and 2019 will see rockers James return to Birmingham to play the tracks live for fans - who will not be wanting to Sit Down.

James are heading back out on tour in 2019

James have announced their Living In Extraordinary Times UK Tour for March, named after that album released back in August. The band will also be performing some of their well-loved classic hits such as She's A Star, Sound, and their mega-hit Sit Down.

In typically non-conventional James style, the band will be 'supporting themselves' in a special 30-minute acoustic set before their famed and storming electric main show.

Singer Tim Booth explains: "For this smaller venue March tour we intend to split the gig up into a 30-ish minute ‘pin drop’, bars closed, acoustic set, followed by an electric set after the interval.”

The announcement comes on the back of their latest single, Many Faces, which makes a stand against xenophobia and racism, citing a message of peaceful unity. Tim adds: “We have never had such a reaction to a new song as we have been getting to Many Faces. The sense of inclusion it engenders seems to produce a secular high of unity.”

James have had a busy 2018. On top of the record release they have been on the road for the past few months, having embarked on a triumphant sold-out UK theatre tour, unfortunately not stopping off in our area, in May, before playing at festivals across the UK and Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa, before uniting with The Charlatans on a four-date UK arena tour in early December.

So fans will be delighted they finally get to see James again when they stop at Birmingham's O2 Academy on March 21, 2019. For tickets, priced from £43.85, click here.
