Stereophonics' Kelly Jones to perform solo show in Birmingham

Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones will bring his solo show to Birmingham this summer.

Speaking ahead of the show, the singer/songwriter said: “I’ll be performing some old songs, lots of songs I don’t normally do, some new songs, songs that have inspired me, as well as stories that have inspired me.

"The tour is about overcoming things and moving on from obstacles and building strength from that.

"I am looking forward to performing with some new musicians and creating some beautiful moments”

The 44-year-old Welsh musician rose to fame as a member of Stereophonics.

The group formed in 1992 and are best known for songs such as Maybe Tomorrow, Dakota, Handbags and Gladrags, Have A Nice Day and more.

Stereophonics are one of the most successful Welsh rock acts and have appeared at high-profile music festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Isle of Wight, and V Festival at Weston Park.

Kelly Jones will perform at Birmingham Symphony Hall on July 1.
