Talented teenage singer-songwriter from Shropshire up for music award at ceremony
A teenage singer-songwriter from near Bridgnorth has been nominated in a category at the Shropshire Music Awards and is busy touring the country promoting her new single at the same time.
Macy O, from Highley, is just 14 but has already released two singles and recorded and played at the famous Abbey Road studios in London and The Cavern Club in Liverpool.
Her latest release, I'm Your High, received 5,000 plays on its first day of release and she presented former Take That star Mark Owen with a copy and received one from him in return at a HMV promotional visit this week.
Her last release, No Home, has been nominated in the best single category at the Shropshire Music Awards which take place next Thursday in Telford.
The single was recorded at Abbey Road and released in response to the crisis in Ukraine. It has received airplay on national and regional BBC radio
