Audlem RNLI Festival attracts crowds
Hundreds of people flocked to a marina for an annual RNLI festival.
The sixth Audlem RNLI Festival took place over the weekend at Overwater Marina, near Market Drayton.
On Saturday in the daytime there was a Boatshare4U boat share show and in the evening there was live entertainment from ABBA Re-Bjorn.
On Sunday the programme included a dog show with numerous categories as well as hobby horse racing, a donkey derby and a falconry demonstration from Heritage Falconry.
A large marquee hosted the entertainment and a licenced bar on Saturday evening and a RNLI lifeboats stall, raffle, festival stalls, face painting, and a licenced bar on Sunday.
Refreshments were available in the café at Bridge 80 and at an outdoor food area.
Other stalls at the venue were represented by Audlem and District Acting Positively for Transition, Canal & River Trust, The Shropshire Union Canal Society, and Pets As Therapy. There was also a Cheshire fire engine and a steam roller.
The Audlem Lass provided a boat service between Audlem and the Overwater Marina throughout the weekend.
A spokesman for the event said: "Despite some wet and windy weather over the weekend the event was enjoyed by hundreds of visitors."
