Market Drayton’s fourth arts festival will run October 27 to 29. The event, which includes everything from photography exhibitions to dance shows, is set to attract hundreds to the town.

Organisers hope it will be the best arts festival yet.Jane Hughes, one of the organisers, said: “New this year are the vast amount of new art and craft workshops that we have on offer with high quality artists to get you all inspired to try new ways of working on or upskill your techniques.

“If you are interested in the arts we have David Brammeld is teaching pencil and graphite drawing at the Beacon Centre on Friday morning or join Malcolm Hague on Saturday morning for drawing around Fordhall Farm then add a touch of watercolour.” Both workshops are £5 and to book call 01630 657713.

There is also a craft fair at the Beacon Centre all day Saturday where people can buy a variety of handmade crafts.

There are also craft-based free workshops on Friday at the Festival Drayton Centre and a felt making workshop at the farm from 10am to 4pm.

Other events include dancing, storytelling, martial arts, a military band concert, organ recital and photographic exhibition.
