Artistic look at Wales on display
An artist who studied portraiture in Florence is bringing his work to the Willow Gallery in Oswestry.
Daniel J Yeomans from Montgomery, who has work hanging in collections throughout Europe and Asia, is exhibiting a new collection of paintings, for the first time at the Willow Gallery in Oswestry.
They include some of the scenery seen on his travels around Wales. The landscapes will be exhibited alongside a life size portrait painting, ‘Dystonia and Me; The Renaissance of Self’ which will be sold to raise awareness and funds for neurological research.
Mr Yeomans said: "It is all about one man’s journey, after being diagnosed with dystonia, his use of a journal, writing memoirs and art therapy which eventually led him to my studio and became the inspiration for a painting. Also on display will be Daniel’s latest portrait commission Jonathan Herbert, Viscount of Powys.
A short film was recently produced by film maker, Gwyn Cole, all about, Mr Yeomans following his dream and passion to become a full time artist. To see the short film you can go to http://danieljamesyeomans.com/a-short- film.
The exhibition will run from September 23 until November 4.
