The performance will be a first for the Guilsfield Amateur Dramatic Society.

It is presenting two comedies, "The Boundary" by Tom Stoppard and Clive Exton and "Plaster" by Richard Harris in the village on March 23 and 24.

Both will begin at 7.30pm with the Saturday performance signed in BSI.

The society chairman, Sue Jones, said: "We are very excited about this new opportunity to bring in people who are not usually able to attend. If it proves popular we hope to have more signed plays, so please let us know what you think."

Both plays are about couples who have been married for years suddenly finding themselves in unexpected situations, but with very different outcomes.

After the performances in Guilsfield the plays will go onto the Montgomeryshire Community Drama Festival in Berriew from April 4-7.

The Boundary is directed by Peter Fantham and Sarah Saunders, with Malcolm Graham, John Kneale and Sue Jones in the cast.

Plaster is directed by Dai Roberts with John Parkinson, Paula Ballard and Lesley-Anne Bleasdale in the cast.

Tickets for the plays can be purchased from Welshpool Jewellers, Costcutter Guilsfield and on line at www.guilsfieldads.net
