Michael Palin in Shropshire: Python’s return to old haunts
Comedian turned traveller and author Michael Palin returned to Shropshire – and said it was good to be back.
The former Shrewsbury School pupil and Monty Python star was at the Lion Quays hotel, near Oswestry, where he teamed up with the town’s Booka bookshop to give a talk on his latest work, Erebus, The Story of a Ship.
“I always loved the Shropshire countryside, the Long Mynd and the borders. My chance at school to explore though was a little restricted - a bit like North Korea,” he said.
