It will be the third year that the ramble has been held on Nesscliffe Hill and organiser, John Guest, is hoping a record number will take part.

The ramble sets off from the park in Ruyton XI Towns after registration at 10.15am.

Mr Guest said: "We will head up over the Cliffe, through Valeswood and onto Nesscliffe Hill, do a loop around the hill and back over the Cliffe.

"We will return to the Talbot Inn, in Ruyton XI Towns, where the official BBC Pudsey Bear will welcome the ramblers back and there will be special offer on food, for the charity."

People are asked to pay a minimum of £3 per adult, £2 for under 12s to join in the ramble with larger donations welcome.

"In the first year 80 of us raised £300 and last year 110 of us raised £560," he said.

"We hope to see more ramblers than ever and the weather forecast is looking good."
