The concert on March 2 at 7pm will feature the Rhos Male Voice Choir and budding opera stars from the North Wales Opera Studio.

Rhos Male Voice Choir concert secretary Austin Thomas said: “The St David’s Day concert is becoming a bit of a tradition for the choir.

“The programme for this year’s concert will include some of the most popular opera choruses and arias.

“We are delighted to welcome a talented group of young singers from North Wales Opera Studio to join us. There really is no better way to celebrate St David’s Day for music lovers.”

Among the items for the audience to enjoy this year will be Nessun Dorma from Puccini’s Turandot, Chorus of the Hebrews Slaves from Verdi’s Nabucco, and The Prayer from Wagner’s opera Lohengrin.

North Wales Opera Studio was founded by Anne Williams-King in 2015 to give aspiring opera singers and students the opportunity to learn their craft and receive top-class training from seasoned professionals.

Tickets for the concert are available from the Stiwt box office on Broad St in Rhos, 01978 841300, or online at stiwt.com and also available from choir members. Tickets are £12.
