Moreton First parents are returning to the classroom at Moreton Hall for a course in Mandarin.

Organised by Moreton First language teacher Raymond Rhodes, the classes offer an introduction to the language.

He said: “With demand on the increase to learn Mandarin and enrich one’s understanding of Chinese culture, we decided to offer Chinese classes to the Moreton First parents.

“The parents are relishing the challenge of engaging in this process, and are gaining in confidence with their communication skills.

The advantages of learning Mandarin are clear for all to see especially with the Chinese economy continuing to increase and further opportunities for careers and jobs emerging as a result.

Headteacher Mrs Ford, who is joining the sessions, said: “This is a tremendous opportunity to test myself on a language that has always intrigued me.”
