BB winner Isabelle Warburton pledges prize money chunk to mental health charity
The young winner said she struggled with anxiety while in the Channel 5 house.
Big Brother winner Isabelle Warburton pledged to donate a portion of her prize money to a mental healthy charity as she told how she struggled with anxiety while on the show.
The 21-year-old, who was last to leave the Channel 5 house in Friday night’s live final, said she felt it was a neglected medical issue.
After more than a month in the reality house, the fake tan fan proved to be the viewers’ favourite contestant, winning more than half the public votes (53%) and a £65,000 cash prize.
“You get anxiety and things like that in there.
“In this day and age I think it’s natural to be image conscious and feel down, but I think mental health is neglected because people can’t see it physically.
“I’m going to give some of my prize money to charity – a mental health charity.”
She also told Metro newspaper that she was considering making her donation to the Mind charity, after her brother supported the organisation with a London Marathon run.
