Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Mollie King admitted that her greatest fear ahead of the show’s launch this weekend is tumbling down the famous studio staircase.

The Saturdays star, 30, said she was desperate to at least begin the show looking glamorous and graceful before the competition kicks off.

She told a Huffington Post interviewer at a Build on Thursday: “You know at the start when they say like “Mollie King” and you’ve got to wave at the top of the stairs?

“I don’t want to literally just tumble down them and then, like, get up and rearrange myself. I just really want to look really graceful doing that bit.”

King also confessed her favourite “un-cool” dance move: the classic finger point.

“The move that I always go to, which I really need to stop, especially before Strictly, is the finger point,” she joked.

“It is so un-cool. I literally need to put this finger back in the pocket because the judges would really just die if they saw me do that on the Strictly dance floor.”

She added that she would love to see The Saturdays come back together in the future.

While she has seen success with her solo music career, King said: “I think it would be a couple of years because everyone is really busy doing their own thing… it is definitely something that we’d like to do”.

The original female five-piece that formed in 2007 also included Una Healy, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes.
