Paddy McGuinness will play cupid to a group of over-50s when Take Me Out returns next year.

The popular ITV dating programme will be back early in 2018 for a tenth series, which will include two special episodes.

One will feature a line-up of single older ladies looking for love.

The other will see 30 past male contestants return for another chance at finding their perfect match.

The show has resulted in seven weddings and three babies since it started in 2010.

To celebrate its success, McGuinness will be reunited with some of the previous Take Me Out couples to reminisce about the moment their eyes met across the love lift.

He said: “I’m so excited to be celebrating 10 series of Take Me Out.

“I always look forward to seeing romance blossom amongst a new line-up of ladies and gents, including the over-50s!

“I’m also going to be catching up with the couples who got together after meeting on the show.

“Bring it on!”

Thames head of entertainment and executive producer Suzy Lamb said: “I’m sure there will be love matches aplenty if Paddy has anything to do with it and with two specials as well, it’s set to be one of the best series yet.”

Take Me Out is currently looking for single men and women to appear on the next series. To apply visit www.itv.com/takemeout. Over-50s wanting to apply can email Takemeoutspecial@thames.tv.
