Newport company is a glass act, says TV's Saira Khan - with pictures and video
Former Apprentice finalist turned television presenter Saira Khan was in Shropshire to add a bit of sparkle to the launch of a new showroom.
Miss Khan, who was runner up on the first series of The Apprentice in 2005, cut the ribbon at Spectrum Architectural Glazing's new showroom in Newport.
The company, which makes specialist windows at the high end of the market, has taken on an extra three workers as a result of recent expansion, and has extended its showroom at the Springfield Industrial Estate.
Miss Khan, who is now a panellist on Loose Women and has appeared on the Martin Lewis Money Saving Show, spoke about how she was working on a project at her own home.
Andy Millichamp of Spectrum said Miss Khan chatted with the workforce during her visit.
"She said we had a very good workforce here, and added that she never realised windows could be so sexy," he said.
The Apprentice is back for another series starting on BBC1 at 9pm tomorrow.
