Lena Headey: Game of Thrones finale is going to be ‘large’

It returns for an eighth and final series next year.

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey has promised the show’s final series will be “very large”.

The British actress, 44, stars as Cersei Lannister in the HBO fantasy drama series which returns for an eighth and final series next year.

Headey told the Press Association on Tuesday evening: “We’re filming till the end of June and it’s all very exciting and very large.”

Headey was speaking at the premiere her husband Dan Cadan’s latest film, Walk Like A Panther.

She has a small cameo in the wrestling-themed comedy and revealed she was a “pretty big wrestling fan” as a youngster.

Game Of Thrones started airing in 2011 and is based on a series of novels by US writer George R.R. Martin.
