But you wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the signwriter who painted his narrowboat.

Filming for the new Peaky Blinders movie has been taking place along the canals of both Dudley and Wrexham in recent weeks, and Cillian Murphy who plays the West Midlands gang boss has been spotted sitting aboard a narrowboat.

But unfortunately, whoever painted the sign on it is not too hot with either local geography or spelling, and has managed to get the name of the Wyrley & Essington Canal wrong.

The boat that Tommy has been using bears the legend 'Wyrely & Essington', which would surely bring shame on the Shelby name.

The Peaky Blinders film, named "The Immortal Man", will appear on Netflix and is set to be released either late 2025 or early 2026.

The BBC drama series ran from 2013 to 2022 and followed the rise of the Shelby gangster family following the First World War. The film is now expected to pick up the family's fortunes a few years later entering the Second World War years.

Given that Tommy is not known to be one who suffers fools gladly, you hate to think what punishment he will be mete out when he catches up with the lax signwriter.

We'll probably have to wait for the movie to find out.
