Martin Simpson is universally acclaimed as one of the finest ever acoustic and slide guitar players, and a fine banjo-picker to boot. He will be playing at the Hive, Belmont on Sunday night. The gig starts at 7.45 and doors open at 7pm. Tickets cost £15 per person. To book go to https://hiveonline.cloudvenue.co.uk/martinsimpson

Meanwhile, two award nominated artists come together for a night of music later this month at the Hive.

Jack Harris is a Welsh-born folk singer-songwriter, musician, and poet and a multi-award-winning musician while Kitty Macfarlane is a Somerset-based singer and songwriter whose lyrics combine honest snapshots of everyday humanity with the bigger questions that have connected minds and voices for centuries. They will be joining forces on May 27 and the concert starts at 7.45pm with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets cost £10.
