The band celebrated their fifth consecutive Top 10 UK Album, ‘A Good Ol’ Fashioned Christmas’ at the end of last year.

And now flower show organisers have lined them up as the Saturday night finale on August 12.

Initially landing a recording deal with Warner Music in the summer of 2010, their debut album ‘Good Ol’ Fashioned Love’ reached number four on the album chart.

Combined, their albums have sold over a million copies and have seen the group appear on numerous TV shows.

Chairman of the Shropshire Horticultural Society’s arena committee, Andrew Rhodes, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our visitors something different this year.

"The Overtones have enjoyed a succession of major achievements, including performing in front of 250,000 people at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, and we look forward to welcoming them to our show in August.”

Another name to appear at the show is TV presenter and chef John Torode.

He will be cooking up a storm in the food tent and will be offering tips and his expertise to showgoers keen to find out more about life in the kitchen.
