Roll up, roll up the circus is in town

A school field is not the first place you would expect to see a Big Top - but next month a Shrewsbury school will be hidden behind a mountain of colours as the circus comes to town.

Happy’s Circus will visit the Oakmeadow School in Bayston Hill on July 1 – and the performance is open to all.

The huge big top holds 600 people and will raise money for the Oakmeadow PTA, a registered charity and the organisers of the event.

Tickets are being sold on a first come first served basis and are available now from Lyth Hill Stores in Bayston Hill or can be booked by calling 07976 852042.

Starring Mr Happy and Pip Randelle, the show will feature acrobats, aerialists, speciality acts, magic, audience participation with loads of fun and more.

There will be plenty of food, drink and entertainment for all the family on site with gates opening at 1pm and the performance at 2pm.

Sally Page, chair of the PTA, said: “We have heard amazing things about Happy’s Circus and we knew we wanted to bring it to Oakmeadow for the children at the school and in the wider community.

“We have been deep in organisation for weeks to ensure the whole event is an amazing day for everyone - from candy floss to hot dogs, face painting and more it is set to be one to remember.

“More than half the tickets have already been sold and we expect the remainder to sell quickly.”

Tickets are £8 each or £30 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). Happy’s Circus does not have animals and is dedicated to bringing the world of the big top to schools across the UK.
