Millican show a sell out
Tickets to see one of the country's most recognisable comedians went on sale yesterday morning - and sold out within five minutes.
Fans of Sarah Millican were straight on the phones when the tickets for her appearance at Theatre Severn in February went on sale at 10am.
And within minutes the show was a sell-out.
The 42-year-old comedian has performed in Shrewsbury on two previous occasions and news of her third trip to the town was only revealed this week.
Her appearance is part of her nationwide tour, which will also take in Telford and Newtown.
Craig Reeves, marketing manager at Theatre Severn said: "Sarah Millican tickets sold out in less than five minutes. There was unprecedented demand and apologies to anyone who missed out this time. There is a waiting list now available."
Also selling well were tickets for Britain's Got Talent golden buzzer comedian Daliso Chaponda. Theatre bosses are expecting the show, scheduled for March, to sell out within hours.
