Upcoming band to play in Shrewsbury
Acclaimed indie/rock outfit FloodHounds make their Shropshire debut this weekend.
Following hot on the heels of their third appearance at the historic Troubadour club in London last weekend, they will take to the stage at Albert' s Shed in Shrewsbury on Saturday.
FloodHounds, who comprise lead singer/guitarist Jack Flynn, drummer Lauren Greaves and Shrewsbury-born bassist Rhys Owen, continue to work extensively with Alan Smyth, the producer noted for his collaborations with the Arctic Monkeys, Reverend & the Makers and Pulp.
Wide Awake, FloodHounds' latest single which has proved a big hit at gigs and festivals up and down the country this summer, was produced at Smyth's 2Fly Studios in Sheffield, the city where the band are based.
The single is available on the usual online music platforms and also on YouTube along with an eye-catching accompanying video.
FloodHounds will be supported on Saturday by Dread, who originate from Llandrinio - just across the border in Mid Wales.
Entry to the gig is free before 9.30pm and £2 after.
