A screening of ‘God’s Own Country’ planned for next month's festival, which runs from October 6 to 8 sold out within days.

Now a second screening of the film will take place at 7pm on October 15, at the Old Market Hall cinema in Shrewsbury.

"Yet again this year we are really pleased to see strong ticket sales with the film festival still a month away. We knew the opening night film Gods Own Country would arouse strong interest but were not prepared for it to be sold out at this early stage. Thankfully, after discussion with the OMH cinema, we are very pleased to hear that there is to be a second screening”, said Chris Brown, one of the festival organisers.

The festival has a packed programme this year, with visiting film directors, as well as Saar Maoz, who is flying from Tel Aviv to give a talk and the showing of ‘Who’s Gonna Love Me Now?’ which is about his life.

There will also be free short film screenings and a film lecture.
