He is just one of the latest acts revealed to appear at Theatre Severn.

The 82-year-old will be joined on stage by his son, Mike, for An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson, which celebrates the life and career of a man who has interviewed over 2,000 of the most important cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Tickets for the show, which is on September 9, are on sale now through the box office.

Also coming to Shrewsbury is Pete Waterman, the 1980s music mogul, who will be on stage in the Walker Theatre on September 23.

The original hit man will reveal never before heard stories behind some of the greatest songs and artists of the 80s and 90s including those by Kylie Minogue, Donna Summer, Jason Donovan, Bananarama and Steps.

On October 30, star of Black Books, Dylan Moran will be on stage with his one man show.

The Bafta and Perrier-award-winning comedian will offer his unique take on love, politics, misery and the everyday absurdities of life.

And on October 31, comedian and impressionist Jon Culshaw and comedy producer Bill Dare come to Theatre Severn for the first time following their sell-out tour last year.
