The organising team are parents themselves and the festival reflects the values that they have for their own children.

Kids tent co-ordinator Clare Lamprell said: “We want them to have fun, we want them to learn about the environment, we want them to know where their food comes from and when the weekend comes, we want them to have the best time ever.

“At this year’s festival, children will be at the heart of what we do.”

The event is working with Tortoise Nursery, who will make sure kids are safe and able to have loads and loads of fun.

There will also be a new Kids Zone at the top of the Quarry Park, including a first-ever play area for the under-fives, so that they can run about and have loads of laughs without being knocked over by bigger kids.

A sports area is also being introduced in the Quarry’s Lower Field, so that boys and girls can let off steam and mimic their World Cup heroes.

There’ll also be plenty of music as part of a partnership with Shropshire Music Service.

Ms Lamprell added: “Our kids ought to have fun. Play is a hugely important part of their education. And so we’re putting together a range of activities that will put a smile on their faces.

“The new Under-Fives Zone is perfect for parents who are hard-pushed and need to find somewhere safe for their children to play. And the sports area will be a lot of fun.

“We’re delighted to be teaming up with the Shropshire Music Service, which does a marvellous job of making music available to all.

“We’re delighted to be partnering them and look forward to local children entertaining our festival goers throughout the weekend.”

The Rock Project, Get Your Wigle On and more will also be providing fun for all.
