Shrewsbury panto ticket sales top 25,000 already
Panto ticket sales for Shrewsbury's Theatre Severn have topped 25,000, it was announced today.
It is expected that more than 40,000 people will travel to the theatre to watch Mother Goose, topping the figure for last year.
Extra performances have been added to cope with demand.
Starring dame Brad Fitt alongside pantomime regulars Eric Smith and Matt Dallen, and featuring Lisa Davina Phillip and Matt Daines, the show opens on November 28 for a six-week run.
With audience participation and spectacular special effects, the show has been produced by Evolution, the same creative team behind last year's hit Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Bosses say they are highly encouraged by sales for the show, which helps financially support the theatre for the rest of the year.
