Shake, rattle and rollers experience the thrill on the hill at soap box derby
Around 3,000 people flocked to a hill in Shropshire to experience the thrills and spills of a soapbox derby.
A thunderstorm caused some people to head for cover at Sunday afternoon's Richards Castle Soap Box Derby but the organisers say it was just a brief interruption to the day's proceedings.
Humphrey Salwey, the event's chairman, said: "It was a very successful day again with a great atmosphere and wonderful local support.
"Nowhere else could you have such a marvellous day out for £5."
He also praised the volunteers who gave their time as the 29 soap box creations rattled and rolled their way down the 550-metre course with a descent of 50m.
