Award-winning Ironbridge hotel snapped up for £3m
An award-winning hotel nestled next to the River Severn in Ironbridge has been sold to a new buyer for around £3 million.
The Valley Hotel, part of the Best Western group, has been taken over following the retirement of the previous owners after 28 years of managing the premises, in Buildwas Road.
Situated in a picturesque woodland setting on the river it boasts 44 bedrooms and has planning consent for a further 27 bedrooms.
New owners the Hayer family have plans to refurbish the reception and bar areas of the Buildwas Road venue, and are aiming to host weddings and corporate events in the two suites at the premises.
It which attracts local trade as well as visitors to the area in its customer base.
The Georgian-style building, which also has a restaurant, benefits from a strong corporate, tourist and wedding trade with easy access from the M54. It and is also a short drive from Telford town centre for people with business or leisure activities in that area.

The agency said it sought offers in excess of £3m for the concern which is in operation.
