The Coca-Cola truck will be rolling into Telford - find out when and where
It is 22 years since the advert first aired yet the sight of the Coca-Cola lorries lit up in Christmas lights and the song, Holidays are Coming, is still synonymous with the start of the festive season.
The giant red lorry is on its way to Shropshire as part of its annual nationwide tour and thousands of families are expected to go along to see the spectacle.
The Coca-Cola truck will be at the Telford Shopping Centre on December 7 with people able to have selfies projected onto the side of the lorry.
Aedamar Howlett, who is the marketing director for Coca-Cola Great Britain said today: “Coca-Cola is synonymous with the Christmas season and it’s no secret that our much-loved Christmas Truck Tour marks the unofficial countdown to all the Christmas fun.
“We can’t wait to start spreading holiday cheer and we are excited to announce a brand new route for 2017 – which brings a sprinkling of festive magic to fans across the UK.”
There has been some criticism that the brand contributes to obesity in children and some public health directors have signed a letter calling for or the truck’s tour to be cancelled.
But the drinks company says its products include no-sugar drinks.
