Gogglebox star Sandra Martin to be on judging panel for Telford's Got Talent
Talented Telford residents are being invited to get on stage for an entertainment show to celebrate the town's 50th birthday.
Organisers of Telford’s Got Talent want gifted singers, dancers, musicians and circus acts to sign up for the competition, which will be held at The Place, in Oakengates.
Panel judges will include Channel 4’s Gogglebox star Sandra Martin.
Organiser Shaquille Miller was invited by Sandra to be her guest on this year’s Celebrity Big Brother Bit on the Side where he met reality stars Rylan Clark and former I’m a Celebrity Get Me Outta Here winner Joe Swash.
Shaquille has previously performed on TV’s Paul O'Grady Show with the Caribbean Sunshine Steel Band group.
He says Sandra was very excited about coming to Telford to be a part of the talent show, which is being supported by 23 volunteers as well as a camera crew to film the whole project.
“Telford’s Got Talent promises to be a spectacular community event, giving local people the opportunity to showcase their talents and a chance to win a cash prize,” Shaquille said.
The winner of the competition will get £500 cash, a trophy and publicity.
Auditions will be held on April 14 and 22 from 10am to 6pm at the Ice Lounge, Eden complex, Canongate, Oakengates.
Contestants must be available on May 22 for the semi-finals, June 12 for rehearsals and June 15 for the live show at The Place theatre.
