Comedian and TV star Jack Dee on way to Much Wenlock arts centre
Everyone's favourite grumpster, Jack Dee, is working up material for a new UK tour.
He will be testing it out on an audience at The Edge Arts Centre in Much Wenlock on March 21.
And bosses at the venue say it is already a sell-out show, with all tickets being snapped up within 10 minutes of going on sale.
The comedian, actor, writer and media star, who is famous for his dry, sarcastic humour and deadpan delivery, has in the past topped the bill at the Apollo.
He has also starred in numerous successful television sitcoms.
The 57-year-old Bromley-born funnyman made his first foray into the world of comedy at an open-mic gig in 1986 at The Comedy Store.
Since the 1990s he has performed his act to sell-out crowds.
After Jack scooped the British Comedy Award for Best Stage Newcomer in 1991, he was offered his own show, The Jack Dee Show, which went out on Channel 4 in February 1992 and exposed him to a wider audience.
He has since starred in popular TV shows including Bad Move, Lead Balloon and Josh.
Later this year, comedian and Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh will also be coming to The Edge Arts Centre as part of the venue's Comedy at the Edge shows.
He will be bringing his show, After This One, I’m Going Home, to Much Wenlock on May 12.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £15.
